There is a chill in the air
The soft breeze that refreshes my soul
Coincides with a forlorn feeling
A gentle whisper that winter is not so far away.
Nature is foreshadowing, even as the summer sun still burns my skin.

Poetry, short prose, & general musings.
Hurt is so easily exchanged
Like coins tossed
True meaning lost
Foundations like sand
Relationships disband
Over a missed word
An apology unheard
Can we gird our hearts
To withstand the hard parts?
Yet remain soft, open
Vulnerable, a little broken
Allowing others to see
Our true reality
Is our destiny division-
Or can we begin a revision?
Silhouette of a barren tree
Waves to me gently
Against a burning orange sky
As if to say
Yes, this world holds opposites
Tragedy & beauty
And I will bloom again.
