There will come a time
When one must slow down
To release the reigns
Not only feel the wind
But stop & smell what it brings
A shift in season
Seeing that change brings suffering
Yet also beauty
As the autumn brings death
With glory in its leaves.

Poetry, short prose, & general musings.
Brisk breeze
Balm to my soul
Hot tea in my hands
Baked delicacy perfumes the air
Sweater bundled like a hug
A time to slow and prepare
Breathe, move forward
Read more, talk less
Sit still, listen.
Gaze into flicking flames
Let Autumn sink into my bones
Face her with open arms
Allowing fear to be my guide
For that is the first step
Towards greater knowing.
