  1. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. This book doesn’t need any more accolades as it’s already an international best seller, but you can also take my word for it that it’s very much worth reading. Here’s the plot summary: “Ifemelu and Obinze are young and in love when they depart military-ruled Nigeria for the West. Beautiful, self-assured Ifemelu heads for America, where despite her academic success, she is forced to grapple with what it means to be black for the first time. Quiet, thoughtful Obinze had hoped to join her, but with post-9/11 America closed to him, he instead plunges into a dangerous, undocumented life in London. Fifteen years later, they reunite in a newly democratic Nigeria, and reignite their passion—for each other and for their homeland.”
  2. This zucchini bread recipe is fantastic.

Isn’t this a cute idea? I would love to do this when Trip moves to a “big bed”.
Today at the beach 3 different guys went over to a ladies purse who they didn’t know, shooed away a bird, and covered her purse with a towel so the bird wouldn’t get into her bag! This just made me smile & let me know there are good people in this world!
